How HIP Provided Coaching and Technical Assistance to Grantees

Our coaching services are just one of the many ways in which we offer “the HIP advantage” to our clients. We identify and communicate the right messages to help motivate others to implement the necessary skills that will ensure positive results. In doing so, we earn the ability to strengthen and polish our techniques.

In June 2020, HIP was awarded a technical assistance contract to support grantees in the Youth Apprenticeship Readiness Grants program (YARG), a federal grant program funded through the U.S. Department of Labor. Our experienced coaching team includes professionals with expertise in workforce development, education, behavioral health, and economic development. Their collective skill set casts a holistic lens on effective program implementation strategies.

HIP’s approach to technical assistance (TA) and coaching begins with meeting the grantees where they are. Through customized, targeted assistance, HIP utilizes success factors aligned with the grant program requirements to serve as a guide for new and seasoned grantees. Establishing strong organizational policies and procedures can set the path for effective recruitment and outreach strategies, partnership cultivation and employer engagement, and sustainability. HIP delivers assistance by conducting virtual peer learning exchanges to address challenges and solutions and assigning TA coaches to grantees for hands on support.

HIP’s coaching services create opportunities and activities that encourage grantee peer sharing and learning, and aims to yield positive impact in their communities.

Through our technical assistance support, HIP has positively impacted the lives of hundreds of adults and youth. Our goal is for that impact to grow and reach others as they continue their journey in their careers, families, and communities.
